Shadow stories

We drew around shadows last week. We can also use shadows to tell a story. Here I am telling the story of the Three billy goats Gruff using shadows

Have you ever used shadows to tell a story before? You’ll need a dark place, a light (a torch, the torch on a mobile phone works well,) and something to make a shadow with. Hands, toys, shadow puppets… anything really! Have fun!

This book is a terrific story about searching for a Dragon, but on every page, there are many dragons for us to find. Can you find them with me? Where’s the Dragon by Jason Hook, illustrations by Rich

It’s a lot of fun to draw maps. You can make a map of anywhere! All you need is some paper, a clipboard (or hard book to lean on), and texta / pencil / crayon. Start of in your backyard – have a look
