Maps

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

It’s a lot of fun to draw maps. You can make a map of anywhere! All you need is some paper, a clipboard (or hard book to lean on), and texta / pencil / crayon.

Start of in your backyard – have a look at what you have there. Perhaps some trees, a trampoline, a dog kennel, a shed, a pool, a BBQ…. Can you draw a map of it?

You could draw maps of

  1. your bedroom

  2. your house

  3. a local park

  4. your street

  5. how to get from your house to kinder

If you would like to look at some maps, you can look at google maps, a melways, or an atlas.

Here is a map of Hampton https://www.google.com/maps/@-37.9394405,145.0042803,15z?hl=en

Can you find where your house is?
